TRIPLE BIRCH MEDIA is a New York-based production company, dedicated to the idea that great storytelling has the power to transform individuals and societies.
TRIPLE BIRCH MEDIA produces ambitious live events, virtual events, and compelling content for agencies, production companies, broadcasters, organizations and individuals — collaborating with some of the finest artists and technicians working today to bring extraordinary projects to life onstage and onscreen.
In addition to providing creative and production services to clients, TRIPLE BIRCH MEDIA develops and produces an internal slate of projects. Our focus is on scripted comedy and drama series, but we’ve also had recent success with competition formats and reality. Recent projects have been set up with partners including Sony Pictures Television, National Lampoon, eShap TV, Is or Isn’t Entertainment, Extreme Sports, Playtone, and Audible, among others.
WHAT WE DO
VIRTUAL eventS:
Triple Birch Media has been tapped to create compelling, entertaining, and cost-effective virtual events for leading institutions during the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic. Recent projects include The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s VIRTUAL HOT PINK EVENING; two virtual launch events for the WELL BEINGS Youth Mental Health Campaign from WETA/PBS; and A VIRTUAL SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE for Overlook Medical Center. Upcoming projects include HLTH VRTL 2020 and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s First-Ever Virtual Symposium and Luncheon. These events have featured some high-profile talent, extraordinary musical numbers, and first-class production values.
LIVE eventS:
We conceive and produce extraordinary and cost-effective events and activations, bringing together the highest caliber of performance with great filmmaking, stagecraft and design. We collaborate with organizations or brands to create spellbinding galas, festivals, concerts, memorials, multi-camera broadcasts -- and everything in-between. We can oversee all aspects -- writing, staging, video editing, technical, music production, production management, logistics -- or can contribute as much or as little is needed. We have recently been contracted by event companies including Eighth Sea, Inc. (Deloitte PPMD), iDEKO Productions, and Van Wyck & Van Wyck.
fIlm, tV, and digital:
Our experience ranges from unscripted digital content and web series, to full-length feature films and series.
For corporate clients and institutions, we have created compelling and high-quality video content for live events, digital marketing, and fundraising.
For production companies and brands, our services can include identifying and evaluating potential intellectual property; coordinating all aspects of development and legal; creating compelling pitches, treatments and sizzles; attaching cast and creative teams; advising about budgeting, financing and marketability; overseeing production and post-production; supporting marketing and distribution.
theater:
For commercial and institutional theater producers and presenters, our services can include identifying and evaluating programming and potential properties; commissioning leading writers and composers; attaching cast and creative teams; introducing material to industry decison-makers and investors; overseeing all aspects of development, including producing developmental readings, workshops and backers’ auditions; advising about budgeting, financing and marketability; overseeing production; and pursuing opportunities for national and international touring and co-production.
individual artists and companies:
We do not function as managers at this time, but we love to help navigate careers and projects through the complex and always-shifting entertainment landscape. Our services can include developing a strategy for your career, project or company; applying for grants and raising capital; introducing you and your work to key figures in theater, film and television; creating showcase or pitch materials; pursuing opportunities and representation; and supporting you in producing your own work or launching your career.
WHO WE ARE
FOUNDER/PRODUCER
Steven Tabakin is an award-winning creative producer and director with significant credits in film, television, and theater. He has held senior producing and executive positions at The Public Theater, Thirteen/WNET (PBS), and independent production company Tashtego Films, which he co-founded with the late actor/director Margaret Whitton and Warren Spector.
His experience and relationships with leading writers, actors, producers, designers, cinematographers, composers, editors and creative thinkers — across all types of media — are the cornerstone of TRIPLE BIRCH MEDIA.

TRIPLE BIRCH MEDIA staffs each project based on specific needs and resources. Biographies of associated artists and professionals — including outstanding performers, writers, directors, choreographers, designers, composers, editors, shooters, digital consultants, and strategists — are available upon request.
